Family Play & Learn Storytime is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2026, in the North Spokane Meeting Room. Children ages 2 through 5 can attend with their families for an hour of shared reading and discovery.

The first half uses picture books, music and fingerplays. The second half offers activities connected to math, science, art and literacy. Parents and caregivers can participate alongside their children, while the program introduces literacy, STEAM and social skills associated with kindergarten and continued learning at home.

The session also offers an opportunity to get a child a library card. Attendance is limited because library space is limited, and groups of 10 or more should call ahead. Spokane County Library District says its events are intended to welcome people of all abilities. For accommodation requests, including hearing assistance, ASL or other ADA questions, contact comments@scld.org or 509.893.8200 at least five business days before the event.
