Family Play & Learn Storytime welcomes children ages 2–5 and their families on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. The gathering takes place in the Diane E. Zahand Meeting Room East in Spokane Valley and lasts one hour.

The first half centers on picture books, singing and fingerplay. The remaining 30 minutes brings children and their adults into activities connected to math, science, art and literacy. Parents and caregivers join the play, helping children build early learning and social skills connected to kindergarten and activities families can continue at home.

The session also offers a chance to get a library card for a child. Library space is limited, so groups with 10 or more people should call ahead. Additional Tuesday sessions are listed for November 17 and 24, December 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2026. Spokane County Library District says its events welcome people of all abilities; accommodation requests for in-person programs should be made at least five business days ahead by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200.
