Lyndsay Kerr returned from a trip to Montana and found drawers and other belongings out of place inside her Spokane home. She had been visiting her daughter, Caylee, who plays soccer for the University of Montana. The condition of the house made it apparent to Kerr that an intruder had entered while she was away late last week.

Among the missing family heirlooms are three championship rings. Caylee earned one for a high school title at Gonzaga Prep and another for a conference championship while competing at Montana. A third conference title ring belongs to Kerr’s son-in-law, Taco Dowler, who played football for Montana State University.

Kerr described the loss as devastating because the awards carry significant meaning for the family. Law enforcement is searching for the rings, along with supporters of the Montana Grizzlies and Montana State Bobcats. Fans are also watching online sites where the stolen items might appear for sale. People who have information about either the burglary or the missing rings are encouraged to contact law enforcement.
